Gary heads up the Leeds banking team and is a member of the firm’s management committee. He also co-heads the Leeds office with Chris Drabble.
He has extensive experience of advising on a range of financial instruments and arrangements, including syndicated and bilateral loan facilities; facility restructurings; mergers; group collapses; intra-group funding; interest rate derivatives; private shelf facilities, and high-value private bond issues. He acts for borrowers, lenders and trustees on real-estate finance related arrangements, with a renowned specialism in social housing finance.
Sharon is Head of the Securitisation Team at Devonshires, having been in the Securitisation Team for 30 years. Her work involves advising clients on the property aspects of giving security and preparing asset and liability registers for RPs and RSLs.
Sharon and her team of over 40 staff members act for over 200 Registered Providers in connection with the property aspects of giving security and preparing asset and liability registers. Sharon’s experience includes the charging of properties to secure loan facilities, bonds and private placements of amounts varying from £1 million to £1 billion, dealing with large refinancing transactions and working on the property security side of mergers of RPs.
Sharon is ranked Band 1 in the latest edition of Chambers UK and is a tier 1 ranked lawyer in the 2024 edition of Legal 500 where she is admitted to the ‘Hall of Fame’
