Preparing for implementation
With rent convergence coming into play as of April 2027, RPs need to plan for implementation allowing enough lead time prior to rent increase notices landing on doormats.
Plans will need to cover communication/consultation with residents, ensuring your systems and processes are able to deal with the additional sums to be collected and crucially, when to stop applying convergence.

- Assurance of organisation understanding and proposed implementation plan for convergence
- Drafting communication to residents to explain what convergence is, who it will apply to and why it will be applied
- Drafting and review of rent increase letters and notices

- Staff training for those implementing the rent increases and for staff who will be answering customer queries about them
