This breakfast event is the third in our ‘Talk VC’ series, hosted by Chance Capital in partnership with Devonshires Solicitors LLP.
The event will bring together SME lenders, investors and SMEs to discuss the current state and future outlook of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the UK SME sector.
For this event, we have brought together a mix of lenders and investors, who all play active roles within the M&A space. This will be an interesting event for anyone actively involved in SME’s and will also give you the opportunity to network with likeminded investors, lenders and business owners.

Key topics will include the impact of UK economic and political uncertainty, access to capital, and evolving market trends (such as the increase of search funds).
Panellists will discuss the surge in activity among SMEs seeking strategic partnerships for growth, driven by technological innovation and consolidation opportunities.
The panel will also explore challenges like valuation gaps, financing challenges and regulatory hurdles, emphasising the importance of management competence and quality of information. The event will also include several short pitches from SME’s seeking financing before concluding with a Q&A session.
