The InLaws 2024
Benefits Page
Being part of our InLaws network comes with lots of free benefits which you can utilise at any time by signing up to the network via the mailing list and selecting the ‘In House Legal’ tick box.
Benefits include:
Its good to talk: our advice line
Members of the InLaws are welcome to use our InLaws Telephone Advice Line. You can gain instant access to specialist lawyers throughout the business day if you have
a legal question or issue you just need to chat through with someone. Calls are limited to 15 minutes and do not include reviews of papers. But, combined within the
firm, we have literally hundreds of years of experience and that’s on the end of a phone.
Touchdown: use of our meeting rooms
In house teams are welcome to hold away days in our meeting room suite located just next to Liverpool Street Station in central London. We have rooms suitable for quiet
one to ones and others that can comfortably sit up to 40 people. You can make use of our state of the art audio visual equipment to go hybrid or for the Perfect PowerPoint
Presentation. Tea and coffee are provided free of charge.
Come train with me: more free training
As you’d expect, we invest heavily in a great training programme for our own staff – to make sure they stay at the top of their game. Sessions cover all areas of legal
practice as well as soft skills and are a mixture of in person and via Teams. For selected sessions, members of the InLaws are welcome to join us. We’ll send out details
and joining instructions shortly before relevant sessions.
The sounding board: Wise heads
Between them, Donna McCarthy, Neil Toner and Lisa Faulkner have 80 years of experience in managing teams, streamlining workflows, implementing legal IT projects and
providing advice. Heads of Legal have access to the Sounding Board. A fancy name for an in-depth chat with Donna, Neil and Lisa on structural issues you may be facing
or major projects you want to implement. We can’t promise to have all the answers, but we can use our years of experience to act as a critical friend (or therapist).
Lightening your load: joint training sessions
A number of InHouse Legal Teams are required to provide training sessions to stakeholders within their business - whether that be to staff members, exec teams or
board members. We’re happy to discuss joining forces – so we can work with you to jointly present. Our teams have put on 100s of sessions in the last few years, so
we’ve got oodles of experience.
Keeping up with the Jones': Access to our legal updates
Throughout the year we publish an array of legal updaters, many of which are aimed specifically at lawyers and others with a more general audience in mind. But, as a
member of the InLaws, you’ll get access to all of them. They’ll keep you up to date. And feel free to copy and paste to pass on critical changes to those within your
organisation who need to know.
*We reserve the right to modify, withdraw or extend any or all of the above benefits at any time.
