Increase in Registered Providers being involved in inquests
There has been a marked increase in Registered Providers (RPs) being drawn into inquests following deaths of tenants and licensees in all types of housing. With this being the case and putting the sector in the spotlight, the Regulator of Social Housing has shown increased interest in such proceedings and their conclusions.
At Devonshires, our specialist Inquest Team provide expert advice from the point of notification of an unexpected death, throughout the coronial process and afterwards to help organisations reflect on the conclusions. Our team has in depth knowledge of the social housing sector which uniquely places them to advise RPs in these cases and guide you through the process. More information on what we can offer can be found here: Inquests and Registered Providers of Social Housing; what to do when your organisation is involved in an inquest?
